… more photos from the MG Story at the Hop Farm, Kent ..

Here are more photos from the Grill-n-Chill VW event at The Hop Farm in Kent, England this past weekend (22nd and 23rd September 2012). It will take me a while to add the ones I took so keep checking back for updates. You might like to bookmark the website to get here more easily :)

P.S. Sorry for the quality of the pictures; the weather was atrocious on Sunday. Should have taken them earlier! Better still need an official photographer – anyone interested in touring with us (hee, hee)?

EXHIBITION FOR MG PATIENTS – A DISPLAY IN MY 15 WINDOW VW BUS

Like this one: handsome VW and a wall of MG faces

The different faces of MG; not always a great picture - please help.

These ladies and every other myasthenic I know is a real trooper and in my mind a true GOLD MEDAL WINNER!

It's always sad to see children with any illness; even sadder when their disease is hardly recognised and takes valuable years to diagnose due to lack of awareness! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU'D LIKE TO DO TO HELP

MG CAN AFFECT ANYONE, ANYTIME because it is an auto-immune disease and we have little idea what it is that triggers the immune system to go into overdrive and destroy previously healthy cells needed for nerve signals to make muscles work!

Pictures from my first drive across the USA with the exception of my MGA MUG. This I designed and had made under one of Vistaprint's free offers before I set off on my MGA drive from MA to CA Oct 2011 to May 2012

Some information about me, why I'm driving for MG Awareness (thanks MUM) and the benefits to businesses/organizations if they sponsor some miles! Also stickers for anyone who loves classic VWs and wants to support VW4causes.org. And how about the two business cards on the right: one for adults and one for kids, but which is which?

Window Panel: I had no funds for panels, so I asked for these blank panels when I attended the '2012 London Olympic Parade for Team GB' in September 2012. Thanks to BA for the gift! Wouldn't it be wonderful if they became a sponsor for our cause?

Team GB supports MG - at least this team GB member does!

more photos to follow LATER …

  2. Great job, Carole! I saw my pictures with the other ones with MG. I was amazed that we all had the droopy eye and we each seemed to have the left eye affected. I wonder why…………… You have done a fabulous job and I appreciate you! Thank you!

:) Thank you, Christy! Maybe one day you can drive a VW4causes VW bus in GB; but first you have to drive one in the USA. Is it a deal?

  4. Janice says:

    Hi Carole,

Nice job, your bus is looking awsome! Good luck and keep up the good work! I see that Florine is the youngest?

WOW, all I can say is WOW. It looks fantastic. It’s such a beautiful idea. It didn’t affect me quite the same until I saw it. MUCH appreciation!

  7. Annie Lechtenberg says:

    Very nice job Carole…thank you!

  8. Carole Brown says:

Thank you Sandee and Annie. I guess the old adage “a picture is worth a thousand words” holds as true today as ever. Nowadays though we have the ability to share photos with others around the world wide web and to see others whom we may never meet but with whom we feel a connection nevertheless.

I’ve been touched by all the photos I have received and hope others continue to send then to me. There can never be too many photos, for we have so much work to do to get autoimmune diseases on the agenda.
