It’s our 1st MG Awareness Event in the UK and also our 1st VW bus in the UK, too !!!!
It’s a double celebration I hope, though lots to do yet. Masses still to get organised and completed (as of noon Friday) before attending the VW event, Grill-n-Chill, at The Hop Farm in Kent all day Saturday 22nd September.

My VW bus, The YesWeCan CamperVan can’t make Grill-n-Chill because after us driving 8,000 miles across USA earlier this year, he is resting at Wolfsburg West in SoCal, USA. However if all goes to plan, I’ll be with you tomorrow in a new addition to VW4Causes, the 15 window green bus you see below – no name yet! Please find us and enter the “NAME THE BUS” competition and other interactive events. Calling all southerners (i.e. those in S.E. England
) ….. anyone want to meet me and my “MG Awareness” exhibit at The Hop Farm in Kent tomorrow? There’s a wonderful event called ‘Grill-n-Chill’ going on all day with hundreds of classic VWs to see. If all goes well with me collecting my classic VW bus from Bedford late today and my drive on the LH side of the road (help!) I’ll be there bright and early showcasing posters about MG with the photos you have sent me of your loved ones. If you can come, call me to find out where I’m parked. If you can’t, a friendly text tomorrow will keep up my spirits. So far it’ll just be me, but I’m hoping to see one or two of you on the day
1-2.30pm VISIT local Asda/Wal-Mart in London’s Docklands to talk to charity representative, shop for give-aways, collect extra photos and buy more materials to make “Faces of MG” exhibit for display in the green VW bus
2.30-3.30pm LUNCH/DINNER
3.30-6.30pm EXHIBIT scan photos to make rest of posters, pack exhibit materials and event give aways ready for drive to the Hop Farm in Kent
after 7.30pm COLLECT VW from Clapham, near Bedford, and drive back to London
11.30pm SUPPER?
……. etc, etc, etc …… when to take photos of VW in the light ???
